Only live passports count. Publishing a passport uses one slot for good — it must stay online up to 10 years. Deactivating does not free a slot; permanently deleting one does. Drafts you have never activated cost nothing and can be deleted freely.
Deactivated passports stay scannable for your grace period, then show a read-only 'no longer active' page. They never 404. That is the point of the lifetime slot: a QR you printed on a hangtag keeps resolving to something honest long after the product is gone.
Up to 10 years from activation. ESPR (the EU Ecodesign regulation) requires a Digital Product Passport to remain accessible for the product's service life. We commit to that maximum so QR codes printed on physical products keep resolving years later.
Yes. Each plan includes a yearly budget for permanent deletes — 2 on Free, 10 on Solo, 50 on Studio, unlimited on Foundry. Deleting permanently removes the passport (its URL then returns 404) and opens the slot for a new product. Ask in the chat if you ever hit the limit.

No. Prices exclude VAT. VAT is added at checkout based on your country (reverse charge with a valid EU VAT ID). You can enter your VAT ID during Stripe checkout.
Your workspace drops to Free. Existing live passports keep serving — we honour the ESPR retention for everything you have already published. You can re-subscribe any time. You can also export every passport as JSON from Settings, then Export your data, at any time.
No. The monthly AI fills quota is separate (5 on Free, 50 on Solo, 500 on Studio, 2,500 on Foundry). It resets on the 1st of every month. AI is included on every tier, including Free; the compare page shows how other DPP tools handle it.
